WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg’s retirement match officially announced for 2025

As seen during the 2024 WWE Bad Blood PLE, world heavyweight champion Gunther was involved in a promo segment with WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg. While speaking to the SEC ESPN Network, Bill Goldberg stated the following as footage of the Bad Blood segment was shown…

“In 2025, Goldberg’s having his retirement. Let’s go. I think we know who the subject or the victim, probably the front runner right now, we know who it is. Victim, 100%. But 2025, Goldberg makes his return in a retirement match.”

“I got a couple of months to get ready. No date, no time.”

While promoting the Crown Jewel PLE, Gunther said the following about a potential match against Goldberg…

“I was invited out there to speak about the Crown Jewel Championship and we had a lot of legends in the house, and I met a lot of them backstage and one of the very few that I didn’t meet that I just saw was there before was Goldberg so when our eyes crossed, basically, I was like, why not break some balls a little bit? He doesn’t seem able to take things lightly. I tried to lighten up the mood a little bit… If push comes to shove and he thinks he wants to get back into the business and wrestle again, then, I’m happy to teach him a lesson.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)
