People within WWE said to be “fired up” over change to Monday Night RAW

It was confirmed last week that Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett will be the new announce team for WWE RAW while Michael Cole and Corey Graves will be announcing Smackdown. In regards to the change, Twitter/X account @WrestleVotes noted the following…

“Many within WWE, especially on the production side, are fired up for Joe Tessitore’s debut tonight on RAW. A proven sportscaster with years of experience, including Monday Night Football, Top Rank Boxing, and multiple BCS bowl games, Tessitore brings a professional tone WWE has been seeking. He’ll work closely with Michael Cole in the early stages, with Cole being a strong supporter of Tessitore.”

During his podcast, NXT announcer Booker T gave the following advice to Tessitore…

“Welcome to the family, welcome to the team, Joe. I’ve been a big fan of his work in boxing for many, many years. I’m a huge boxing buff so I’ve heard the name Joe Tessitore. I’m gonna tell you right now, he’s stepping into a different arena now. He’s stepping into the wrestling world so I don’t know if Joe Tessitore knows anything about the ‘Gram [Instagram] or Twitter. He better cancel all of that, get rid of it, okay, because the wrestling fans, they’re unforgiving, man.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingInc.com)
