Longtime AEW star reportedly being considered for a world title reign

Bryan Danielson will challenge Swerve Strickland for the world title at the 2024 AEW All In PPV event and is currently a betting odds favorite. Darby Allin is scheduled to face the champion at the 2024 Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite on September 25th.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about Danielson potentially having a short reign as champion…

“Nobody expects a long title run from Danielson, but for one month feels too short. We’ve heard talk of Allin getting a run as champion no matter who wins. We know that’s been talked about seriously, but as to when, that’s less clear.”

Darby, who has been signed to AEW since 2019, has yet to win a world title. Darby will challenge Jack Perry for the TNT title at All In but is currently a betting odds underdog.
