WWE’s Rhea Ripley gets married to AEW’s Buddy Matthews

During the June 15th 2024 edition of AEW Collision, Buddy Matthews suffered a knee “injury” during the House of Black vs. Bang Bang Gang trios main event but he actually wasn’t hurt. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, the injury angle was done to cover his return to Australia as he and fiance Rhea Ripley were traveling there for a family event. As it turns out, the event was the two of them getting married.

Rhea shared a photo via Instagram with the caption, “Til death. 🖤 23.06.24”

In March of 2024, Rhea spoke about her relationship with Matthews despite them working for different wrestling companies. Rhea said that Matthews wasn’t threatened by her being on an “obviously higher” platform.
