Update on Ricochet following injury angle with Bron Breakker from WWE RAW

As seen during the June 10th 2024 edition of WWE RAW, Ricochet was attacked backstage by Bron Breakker and ended up being taken out of the arena in an ambulance. The belief is that this angle was done to write Ricochet off television as he is expected to be leaving WWE when his contract expires.

The belief is that Ricochet’s contract expires sometime in July. According to PWInsider.com, there was at least a creative pitch for Ricochet to potentially return for one more appearance but it remains to be seen if that will happen.

WWE made the following announcement about Ricochet…

“BREAKING: After suffering a brutal attack at the hands of @bronbreakkerwwe this past Monday on #WWERaw, @KingRicochet will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time with upper body injuries.”

While speaking to TVInsider.com, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about Ricochet. Here was Khan’s response…

“If it’s okay, I’d rather not get into wrestlers that still work for someone else.”
