Update on the contractual status of AEW announcer Jim Ross

In the summer of 2023, AEW announcer Jim Ross noted that his contract was close to expiring. During his podcast this week, JR confirmed that his deal will be ending on Valentine’s Day.

JR mentioned that he wants to finish his career with AEW and expressed interest in doing commentary for Sting’s last match at AEW Revolution 2023…

“I mentioned that to Tony Khan last night. He agreed. It’s only right. It makes sense. How can I say this without sounding like a turd? I think there’s money in Schiavone and I working together. Not just in Greensboro, but going forward, sporadically. And we have great chemistry, we’ve never lost that.
