Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza return to WWE Smackdown by helping Santos Escobar

As seen during the December 22nd 2023 edition of WWE Smackdown, Bobby Lashley faced Santos Escobar in a United States title tournament match. At the end of the match, Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza made their return to Smackdown by attacking the Street Profits. The distraction allowed Escobar to pin Lashley with a roll-up.

Escobar will now face Kevin Owens at the New Year’s Revolution edition of WWE Smackdown on January 5th 2024 in the tournament final. The winner of that match will challenge Logan Paul for the United States title at the 2024 Royal Rumble PLE.
