What people from WWE and CM Punk’s camp are reportedly saying about latest rumor

As previously noted, CM Punk reportedly wanted to make a WWE return but the company “turned him down” and he’s not expected to be back for now. Earlier today, insider Twitter/X account Boozer aka Better Wrestling Experience #BWE wrote that CM Punk was recently scheduled for a call with a few WWE board members.

Ibou of WrestlePurists.com posted the following in regards to the latest rumor…

“Booz I don’t know why you’re doing this, but I just asked about this from someone on CM Punk’s side and it was denied.”

“I really hate to burst people’s bubbles, but I reached out to sources that would know on CM Punk’s side, and they deny that this situation has taken place. As of today, CM Punk returning to WWE at Survivor Series specifically is not set to happen.”

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com also posted the following…

“I asked [WWE] top talent, higher ups and creative today. None ‘expect’ him back. If Punk were to return by Survivor Series, it’d be a huge surprise to all of them as of now.”
