Update on Jon Moxley’s in-ring status after suffering a concussion during the 2023 Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite
As seen during the September 20th 2023 “Grand Slam” edition of AEW Dynamite, Rey Fenix defeated Jon Moxley to capture the International title after Moxley suffered a concussion during the pre-match brawl.
In an update on Moxley’s in-ring status, he still hasn’t been cleared for a return to the ring. Moxley was scheduled to wrestle Gringo Loco at Sami Callihan’s Wrestling Revolver event on Sunday night in Dayton, Ohio. While Moxley did make an appearance, he told the audience that he hadn’t received clearance from doctors yet. Moxley was replaced by Rich Swann who ended up losing to Loco. After the match, Loco teased a future encounter with Moxley.
Moxley is scheduled to face Fenix this coming Tuesday on AEW Dynamite in an International title rematch from Grand Slam. AEW was still advertising the match as of Monday morning.
