Breaking news: Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, and other WWE stars released

WWE announced the following on Wednesday morning…

WWE has come to terms on the releases of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett.

WWE wishes them the best in all of their future endeavors.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com initially broke the story that WWE was making another round of cuts.

On April 15th, WWE released including Samoa Joe, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Mickie James, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Kalisto, Bo Dallas, Mojo Rawley, and Wesley Blake.

In May, WWE released NXT strs including Drake Weurtz, Velveteen Dream, Skylar Story, Jake Clemons, Ezra Judge, Jessamyn Duke, Vanessa Bourne, and Velveteen Dream.

The releases of Braun Strowman & Aleister Black surprise me for a number of reasons considering both were well liked, and as of recently, considered for big roles upon the live crowd returns. Hell, Strowman wrestled a McMahon at Mania not 3 months ago. Weird.
