WWE pays tribute to Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk to kick off the 8/25/23 edition of Smackdown
The August 25th 2023 edition of WWE Smackdown opened with Michael Cole announcing the deaths of Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk. There was a 10-bell salute with the active roster on the stage along with the injured Braun Strowman and former WWE star Erick Rowan.
This week, we lost two beloved members of the WWE family, Hall of Famer Terry Funk and the one and only Bray Wyatt.

WWE aired a video package in tribute to Wyatt. There was a closing shot of Wyatt’s rocking chair as the show went to commercial.
