High ranking creative member of WWE reportedly had “trepidation” over Bloodline Civil War finish

As seen during the 2023 WWE Money in the Bank PLE, Jey Uso pinned Roman Reigns in what was Reigns first pinfall loss since Decmeber of 2019. Jey is expected to challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal championship at Summerslam.

Prior to the event, it had been reported that WWE was considering a “drastic” finish for the Bloodline Civil War match. Twitter account @WrestleVotes noted the following on Monday…

“There was a feeling of trepidation from a high ranking creative member in crafting the finish for this past Saturdays Bloodline match. A strong argument that Reigns shouldn’t be pinned prior to losing the title was present throughout the process.”

Twitter account BWE (Better Wrestling Experience) also wrote the following regarding The Bloodline’s future…

“Big calls are made for The Bloodline closure chapter. Next few weeks will be crazy before the biggest stop of the year Summerslam. Tighten those seatbelts.”
