Update on Drew McIntyre’s status with WWE after being drafted to the RAW brand

As previously noted, Drew McIntyre was pulled from the April 7th 2023 edition of Smackdown due to a “health issue.”

McIntyre was officially drafted to the WWE RAW brand this week but has not appeared on television since Wrestlemania 39. McIntyre was also removed from advertising for the 2023 Money in the Bank PLE in London, England.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that nothing has changed regarding McIntyre’s status and he will be out of action for a few more weeks. Meltzer speculated that McIntyre could be turning heel since the RAW brand is lacking top heels at the moment. Meltzer also wrote that “because McIntyre right now is working with the idea there’s a good chance he’s finishing up, he could do a big program for the title as a challenger and finally leave.”
