News regarding the premium live events following WWE Wrestlemania 39

It was previously reported that there was a “very good chance” of WWE bringing back King of the Ring as a PLE in 2023.

According to Wrestlenomics.com, WWE is set to hold two premium live events in May. Backlash, with the “Wrestlemania Backlash” term possibly being dropped, is expected to take place on Saturday, May 6th. A venue has not been revealed yet for Backlash.

WWE is also reportedly bringing back King of the Ring as “King and Queen of the Ring” on Saturday, May 27th. According to PWInsider.com, this will be the next PLE in Saudi Arabia. WWE previously held KOTR and “Queen’s Crown” tournament finals at Crown Jewel in 2021.

At this time, WWE has not officially confirmed either event.

Money in the Bank 2023 is confirmed for July 1st London, England and the event has already sold out. Summerslam 2023 will take place on August 5th at Ford Field in Detroit, MI.
