WWE is reportedly interested in signing Kenny Omega away from AEW

As previously noted, WWE is reportedly interested in Jay White but there is said to be “a much bigger major free agent in play.” In an update, Angel Aramboles of WrestlingNews.co wrote the following regarding the situation…

“WrestlingNews.co has heard that this person is Kenny Omega as his AEW deal has expired or is set to expire soon.”

It was noted by Fightful Select that time could have possibly been added to Omega’s contract due to injuries but people within WWE believe they have a chance to sign Omega. Fightful stated that “though there have been heavy AEW accusations regarding contract tampering, WWE sources told Fightful they don’t believe that was the case with Omega specifically.”

Omega is currently 1/3 of the trios tag team champions with The Young Bucks.
