Dax Harwood comments on FTR’s contractual status with AEW and potential future plans

While speaking to Fightful Select, Dax Harwood said that he believes FTR’s current AEW contract ends in the spring of 2023 and they initially thought the deal would be up last year. The site also noted the following…

“He says he’s evaluating options and says that he and Cash [Wheeler] have had a lot of conversations about their future. One particular idea they’ve mentioned is that they could take a year off of wrestling for major companies and just do things that are fun to them. He said that having the opportunity to work more indies and various companies have led them to find out how much they love that landscape.”

After leaving WWE, FTR joined AEW in May 2020. FTR currently holds the AAA, IWGP, and ROH tag team titles.
