Austin Theory cashes in his Money in the Bank contract on WWE RAW but fails to win title

During the November 7th 2022 edition of WWE RAW, Bobby Lashley accepted Seth Rollins’ open challenge for the United States title. However, Lashley brutally attacked Rollins before the match could officially start. Lashley left and then Austin Theory arrived with his Money in the Bank briefcase.

Theory cashed in his contract for a U.S. title match. Rollins kicked out of several moves and started to make a comeback. However, Theory avoided the curb stomp and was about to pin Rollins but Lashley pulled the referee out of the ring. Lashley attacked Theory and left him laid out with the hurt lock. Theory was able to get back into the ring but was hit with a curb stomp and Rollins scored the victory.
