Malakai Black pulled from upcoming wrestling event due to “health issues”
Malakai Black, who was reportedly granted a conditional release from AEW, has been pulled from Friday’s Northeast Wrestling show due to “health issues.” Black had been advertised to face Matt Taven. Jay Lethal and Enzo Amore will be appearing as replacements for Black.
During Wednesday’s taping of AEW Dark: Elevation, Brody King and Buddy Matthews competed against Isaiah Prince and Kubes. Black was not present with his House of Black teammates.
Following the 2022 All Out PPV, AEW President Tony Khan said the following regarding Black blowing a kiss and bowing to fans at the end of the House of Black vs. Sting, Darby Allin, and Miro match…
“I’m not sure, I can’t comment on that, though. That was for the live fans and it definitely got some people talking, so it is a thing that happened but no I can’t comment on that.”
