The latest regarding plans for WWE, AEW, and Impact Wrestling to resume touring
With Covid-19 restrictions in the United States being eased as more people are getting vaccinated, it appears that wrestling events from the major promotions with fans in attendance will be starting up again during the summer.
AEW reportedly has Dynamite events booked at Daily’s Place booked through the end of June. At the moment, there are tickets available for Dynamite on June 23rd in St. Louis, MO. After that, the next Dynamite event on the road is scheduled for August 18th in Houston, TX. Jim Ross recently indicated that the company could be “back on the road pretty aggressively beginning in July.”
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that while WWE is taking a cautious approach, AEW’s plans could affect WWE’s timeline…
“Talent was told August, or perhaps late July. However it was noted that if AEW was to start in July, they will move that up because they will do everything they can to make sure AEW doesn’t do it first.”
Regarding Impact Wrestling, Meltzer noted that there are plans to run shows “regularly” in Las Vegas once the company starts touring again.
