Results of IWGP World Title match at AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2022

Jay White (c) vs. Adam Page vs. Adam Cole vs. Kazuchika Okada

* There was a “holy shit” match when the bell rang to start the match and the crowd gave them a standing ovation before there was any physicality. White quickly escaped to the outside of the ring and Cole did as well. Cole pulled Page to the outside and White went after Okada.

* All four men brawled on the outside of the ring and went by the ramp. Cole and White suplexed Page on the ramp. White and Cole worked together on Okada inside the ring.

* Page went for a moonsault but got caught with a superkick by Cole. Cole and White then turned their attention to Okada. Okada held his own against both guys and threw them over the barricade. Okada then did a running jump over the barricade onto them.

* White and Cole regained control but then Cole turned against White with a backstabber. Okada and Page got back into the mix. All four guys ended up down and the crowd started a “this is awesome” chant.

* Page hit the Deadeye to White and then hit the Buckshot Lariat but Okada broke up the pin. The crowd started a “fight forever” chant.

* Page and Okada traded blows. Cole pulled Page to the outside and sent him into the ring post. Cole avoided the rainmaker and then White hit Okada with the bladerunner. White pinned Cole to retain his title.

* It appeared that Cole was hurt at the finish. After the match, the Young Bucks came to the ring and checked on Cole. Cole was able to leave the ring on his own power.
