How WWE reportedly feels about the first four months of NXT’s rebranding

Back in September, WWE revamped NXT with the 2.0 makeover. Twitter account @WrestleVotes noted the following in regards to the rebranding…

“Internally WWE is said to be disappointed w/ NXT 2.0 in its first 4 months. Source said they thought more fans would gravitate towards the newer stars quicker than they have. Could it just be too much, too fast? Either way I don’t expect any changes to the concept… just yet.”

Despite the changes made in an attempt to draw a younger audience, NXT has been struggling with television ratings. The January 18th 2022 episode of NXT drew the 3rd lowest rating (0.11 or 149,000 viewers) in the 18-49 demographic for the series on USA Network.

WWE has tried to boost numbers by bringing in main roster stars such as AJ Styles and Matt Riddle.
