- Apparently there was some concern amongst WWE officials on the decision to put the WWE Intercontinental Title back on Dean Ambrose. Many felt that Ambrose holding the Title again would hurt his credibility, especially because he was just the WWE World Champion prior to AJ Styles’ current run.

Ultimately Vince McMahon made the call to give him the title. The hope is that he can help keep the title prestigious, kinda like The Miz has.
