News on Bryan's creative role; Who wrestled the most in 2020
Submitted by Aaron T-Bar Rift on 01/08/2021 at 09:05 AM

- In regards to Daniel Bryan’s creative role in WWE, Dave Meltzer is reporting that Bryan has been ”pushing to bring in more NXT talent to Smackdown to freshen things up.” As previously noted, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest are scheduled to be debuting on the main roster in the near future but there is concern about Vince McMahon losing interest in NXT talent as he has done with others in the past.

- According to Dave Meltzer, Asuka had more matches than anyone else in WWE during 2020. Asuka wrestled 64 times while Angel Garza had 57 matches and Bobby Lashley/Ricochet had 55 matches. Ricochet had the highest number of matches in 2019 at 157.
