What was originally planned for Legends Night segments Submitted by Aaron T-Bar Rift on 01/05/2021 at 12:49 PM
Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com provided some information regarding what was originally planned for WWE RAW Legends Night segments:
* Hulk Hogan was originally scheduled to open WWE RAW with a promo in the ring but that was changed to a backstage segment. Johnson noted that Hogan and Ric Flair were in attendance for the production meeting before the show.
* Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy was originally scheduled to close the show but plans were changed to have Bill Goldberg appear at the end and confront Drew McIntyre. Johnson wrote that "Goldberg was very much hidden backstage until it was time for his entrance and was not listed in the script for the show."
* Drew McIntyre was supposed to a cut a promo about the legends that would've led to Goldberg making his entrance but there were timing issues and McIntyre's promo was scrapped. That explains why Goldberg was accusing McIntyre of making comments that were never said by McIntyre.
* After WWE RAW went off the air, McIntyre gave Goldberg a Glasgow kiss which was likely meant to air on television but didn't due to the timing issues.
