While appearing on MMA Hour this afternoon, CM Punk talked about his fight against Mick Gall that took place at UFC 203. Dana White indicated after the fight that Punk’s next fight would not be in the UFC. Punk revealed that he recently met with Dana and said that he wants to fight again.

“We’re back at it and we’re back to the drawing board,” Punk said. “So it’s up to him. He floated me an idea and we’re kind of going back and forth on it right now. I’m at the point where I kind of want to get something on paper. You might hear an announcement in the coming weeks. There’s no timetable, though.”

While Punk didn’t offer any more details, he said that the idea that Dana pitched to him would be in the UFC.
