“We talked and he had some congestive heart problems. Last time I saw him, I was with my buddy Dave Herro. We were at a signing and we all had dinner together. That was like the last time I sat down with Kev, maybe a year ago. I could tell he was weak. Plus he had been there all day. It was late like 9:30 when we were catching some food, but he was quiet.”

“One of the best. He was a great character. He was believable, and he wasn’t a very big man. He was muscular wise. He had some gigantic thighs, but he knew how to get over. He knew what heat was and when he got a chance to be on the creative end, I mean, I’ve said it a million times that if we don’t have Kevin Sullivan, it wouldn’t have mattered who was the third man because if we didn’t have heat and the ability to pore heat on us (it wouldn’t work). One thing I will say about Sting and Lex and Randy and the crew of guys that were working as babyfaces, Piper, Ric, Mongo, Arn, you know, all those guys that were working as babyfaces, they let us get a sh*tload of heat on them week after week after week, and it wasn’t for them being giving, then it wouldn’t have happened.” (quotes courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)

Here are updates from Sullivan’s daughter…

“Words can not express our gratitude- the response in the first day is nothing short of remarkable. This is a time where many are facing challenges of all kinds, and the willingness to help my dad is appreciated immensely.”

“We were able to go outside for a short period and am trying my best to make this a part of his daily routine. Thanks for all the support and well wishes. I am so grateful.”

“Of course, because anybody that loves the business and sees what they’re doing now, you have to stay relevant. It’s like, I don’t want to knock my compatriots, but not all the shows sold out. They weren’t all hanging from the rafters and everything evolves. Think about this. Again, I’m repeating myself but that Bloodline, people who have gone in there and are there, not only did they make the Bloodline, they’ve made everybody around them. Sami Zayn took 20 giant steps when he was involved with him. I really liked watching him, how he moved his hands, his facial expressions, that time he said he’s not feeling very Ucey. They were biting their lips not to laugh. He got raised. Kevin Owens, who I think is a fabulous performer, he got raised. You got Cody in the wings waiting. You got Seth. You got McIntyre. You got all these guys that have been raised. You know, when the tide comes in and raises all boats, that’s what they’ve done. Well, when we were doing the NWO, we were slaughtering babyfaces and they were coming up to me and saying, ‘You know, I think they’re really from New York.’ So yeah, I would love to do some consulting.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)
