During an interview with the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, Becky Lynch reflected on her WWE push as “The Man” in 2018. Here is what Becky had to say…

“It was one of those things where it was just, I was sick of taking a backseat, and that was kind of real. That angst was real. It was like always almost getting the shot and then never being the one that was picked, never being the one that they were going to hand the ball to and say, ‘Yeah, this is our girl. Go run with it.’

It was like, even the first time that I won the SmackDown Women’s Championship. That wasn’t the plan. I think it was meant to go to Nikki Bella, actually, who, by the way, had just come back from her broken neck. But the audience kind of liked me, you know, and they just, once it was revealed, they just started chanting, ‘Becky.’

The office had to take notice of that and go, ‘Well, yeah. All right. I guess we kind of got to go with her.’

But I don’t think the plan was ever going to be to give it to me again unless I took it. And so that was that opportunity of like, ‘All right, I’m not sitting around. I’m going to make this as interesting as I possibly can.’

Sometimes I did things that, to be honest with you, that I regret. I said a lot of mean things that, it was all about selling the conflict, or at least that’s how I justified it to myself.

But that was it. It was, ‘I’m not sitting around anymore. I am great, and I am going to claim my greatness.'”

Becky stated the following in a promo…

“You’re not even the greatest women’s champion in your own group! Hell, you’re not even the greatest women’s champion that slept with Dominik Mysterio!”

Becky’s line about Liv sleeping with Dominik was edited out of the Netflix replay.

This is not the first time the Netflix replay of RAW has been altered. Following the July 13th episode, Brock Lesnar’s segment with Oba Femi was re-edited using multiple camera angles to minimize the visibility of Lesnar’s “TALK SH*T, GET HIT” T-shirt.

During the August 3th 2026 edition of WWE RAW, Becky Lynch returned from a brief hiatus and confronted Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and the Judgment Day.

Becky walked to the ring as her music played, passing the group before grabbing a microphone. She asked Raquel if she was there for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, saying she had made the title famous and that her work was done.

Becky then turned her attention to Liv, saying she came back to make sure it wasn’t another 100 days before Liv defended the Women’s World Championship. Becky criticized Liv’s reign, saying the Women’s World Champion should be fighting rather than flirting and called it “the worst title reign of all time.”

Liv responded by telling Becky she should be at home being a mother to her daughter. She accused Becky of being jealous and insisted that her own time was now, claiming she was the greatest women’s champion.

As Liv and the group attempted to leave, Becky fired back that Liv wasn’t even the best women’s champion in her group and added that she wasn’t even the best women’s champion to sleep with Dominik Mysterio.

The returning Stephanie Vaquer then appeared and attacked Judgment Day. In the ring, Becky approached Stephanie and the two exchanged words as the segment continued.

While speaking to the Happy Mum podcast, WWE star Becky Lynch spoke out about her battle with postpartum depression…

“I had figured I’d probably be inclined to get postpartum depression, but nobody had told me that you can get it after you’re done breastfeeding. I breastfed for over two years.

So then, when she was over two and I weaned her, all of a sudden I’m so low. I was like, ‘What is happening?’ I had no idea until somebody told me. They were like, ‘Oh yeah, I got it after I weaned my daughter off.’ She became such a source of support for me. I didn’t realize that could happen.

I remember describing it as, like, I couldn’t see colors. Everything just felt gray and dull, and I had no hope. I didn’t want to get out of bed in the morning. I didn’t want to exist. I was just so low, and anything that went wrong went super wrong. I didn’t feel worthy of my husband, all of that stuff.

I tell everybody because I don’t really know how to keep it in. Then I’m like, ‘Oh, now I sound like a nuts person,’ you know, sometimes as well. Then there is the worrying about other people’s perceptions of me.

But then, actually, acupuncture is what got me out of that. I never took any medication.”

Becky Lynch is scheduled to defend the women’s Intercontinental title against Sol Ruca at the 2026 WWE Clash in Italy PLE. However, F4WOnline.com reported that Sol suffered a leg injury during her Saturday Night’s Main Event match against Becky last weekend. It’s believed that the injury occurred following an awkward landing while attempting her signature Sol Snatcher move.

Ahead of the rematch, Becky wrote the following post via Twitter/X…

“I told Sol Puka (cause she makes me want to puke!!!!!) she wasn’t ready to step in the ring with me and she didn’t listen!!!!! I hope she make it to Italy although she’s not medically cleared! Some people think it’s because she LOST HER MIND!”

However, WWE sources indicated to PWInsider.com that Sol is traveling to Italy today, so she will at least be at the event.

In a post via Instagram, AJ gave thanks to be people involved in her WWE comeback…

“Allow me to be sappy and then forget this ever happened. Rebecca [Becky Lynch], you’re selfless, hilarious, and pure joy to spar with. Thank you for keeping me safe and making me better. Jess [Jessika Carr], thank you for being a true partner in our matches and always calming my anxiety. Carla [Roxanne Perez] and Aoife [Lyra Valkyria], I fell in love with wrestling again by seeing it through your eyes. I’m so proud to be a teeny part of your journey. You’re way cooler and more talented than I ever was. But I still have to kick your asses one day.

Pam [Bayley], you’re the undisputed GOAT. Thank you for going out of your way to help me train, to make every show so f’ing fun, and for healing my jaded heart. To all the women in the locker room, I admire and respect you so damn much. You are my wildest dreams for women’s wrestling come true. Thank you for making me feel so welcome and supported and dealing with my obnoxiously loud laugh.

To my AJ Leegion, my mania entrance was a love letter to you, and to every girl who will become her own superhero. Thank you for supporting me for two decades, selling out my merchandise, giving me record-setting views, and making Converse a small fortune with your AJ cosplay. Your passion kept me coming back. Stay weird, see you soon.”

It’s WrestleMania. As a kid we went bonkers for this. Our best memories came from here.

Let’s get to it.

Unsanctioned Match

Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu

For the life of me, why do they use the word ‘unsanctioned’? “No Holds Barred or “Street Fight”. That simple.

It does have the potential to upstage the card on night 1, which they might need if the main event doesn’t tickle the fans fancy. It does make for a good story, Drew’s gotta do Highlander, and Jacob is a main eventer in waiting. The Scotsman got the title before as a compensation of sorts, and maybe he won’t be a heel when he returns.

Winner: Jacob Fatu

The Vision and IShowSpeed vs. The Usos and LA Knight

The celebrity match. It’s bound to be pretty solid. Not a show stealer exactly, but it’ll get fans warmed up for the rest of the night. Plus with Logan Paul in there, high spots!

Winners: The Usos and LA Knight

Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar

Ah yes, is Suplex City about to get demolished, or at least get wrecked good? I recall 11 years ago the beating Roman Reigns took, who kept coming back for more. Now this doesn’t need to be a repeat of Goldberg destroying him, but Lesnar should take the ‘L’ since he’s been built up as a force who can take this one.

Winner: Oba Femi

Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio

Three years ago, we saw the Demon last. Edge insisted on giving Balor the ‘W’ but Vinnie Mac wasn’t having it.

We likely won’t, but shouldn’t we get a moment involving Balor, Priest, and Ripley? Maybe Balor gets Dominik’s betrayal rubbed in his face only for him to remind them they turned the prodigal son into a bastard. I wish Rey Mysterio would – just once – confront one of them.

Whoever wins, the Demon needs to look like a force.

Winner: Finn Balor

Women’s Intercontinental Championship

Becky Lynch vs AJ Lee (C)

They took Bayley off the card last year for her benefit. Becky needs to be the one to lose. Also, you might’ve heard the rumors on a certain pale looking British lady about to make a comeback. How fitting would it be if AJ lost her title to Paige.

I’d say this will be a solid one, and AJ needs a big win in Vegas. Also, Becky could use a change in character.

Winner: AJ Lee

Women’s Tag Team Championships

Fatal Four Way match

The Bellas (maybe) vs. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria vs. Charlotte and Alexa Bliss vs. The Irresistible Forces (C)

Perhaps they should’ve made a Gauntlet match to squeeze a few more women on the card, but hey, I’m not running this show.

Their plan with Charlotte and Alexa must be a feud, which might have happened sooner if they didn’t catch on as a team. With her having missed last year for Becky’s benefit, it’s Bayley’s time.

Will they ever sign Izzy?

Winner: Bayley and Lyra

Intercontinental Championship

Ladder Match

Je’Von Evans vs. Dragon Lee vs. JD McDonagh vs. Rusev vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Penta (C)

Gee, six guys and some ladders, I’m sure this won’t be too exciting.

How much more abuse can Rey take? There’s enough talent in the ring to send the fans home happy, and the chance for a Mexican Destroyer to end them all, well…

Winner: Je’Von Evans

United States Championship

Trick Williams vs. Sami Zayn (C)

Do we smell a double turn? You might call bulls***, but they knew what they were doing having Sami win. Trick Williams is headed for a turn, and Zayn needs a refresh bad.

Winner: Trick Williams

Women’s World Championship

Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Vaquer (C)

Balor being kicked out means the Judgment Day’s golden age members are almost gone. Is Liv next? With how pitched this rivalry has been, it could steal the show. Plus, if Liv takes the ‘L’, it’ll likely be to botched interference from Raquel and/or Roxanne.

As much as Morgan deserves the win, they’ve been pushing Stephanie hard. Coin flip.

Winner: Liv Morgan

WWE Women’s Championship

Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill (C)

I don’t wanna be “that guy”, but as much as Jade should lose it, Ripley winning it might not be a good move. She’s been pushed hard, and if they’re not careful, the fans will turn on her because, well they would.

Winner: Rhea Ripley

WWE Championship

Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes (C)

We’re here now.

Is it really WCW in 2000 bad? Well, maybe, but in time history will be the judge.

The build towards Night 1’s main event, yeah, it’s been mostly a miss, but I can’t help but feel the haters wouldn’t be so down on it if it happened say, in ‘23 or ‘24. Yes, it was a case of creative not reading the room and needlessly turning Randy Orton heel. The less said about Pat McAfee, the better.

There is the Jelly Roll question. If he’s around, how will it go down?

Cody finished the story two years ago. The haters now couldn’t care less.

Winner: Randy Orton

World Heavyweight Championship

Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk (C)

The match that will close Night 2, will it be a 5 star classic? Maybe. Both of these guys can deliver, but if Reigns wins, what then?

Roman keeps “returning” so much. He’s gotta be on TV enough to make the gold mean something, assuming they’re leaning towards Oba Femi or maybe Gunther dethroning him at SummerSlam. Either way, we’re looking at a potential classic.

Winner: Roman Reigns

Here’s some final thoughts.

All these calls for Vince McMahon to return and save the business, where was this sentiment four years ago? When boneheaded mistakes like the 2019 Hell in a Cell main event were still lingering in our heads? What about the torn up scripts? Aborted plots? Just before he resigned the first time a Smackdown only had 13 MINUTES of wrestling on a 2 hour show.

TKO don’t care much about the fans, but neither did Vince.

The IWC can’t see past the high ticket prices and the ESPN deal, but of course, let’s bring Vince back, and forget he only put women’s wrestling in the spotlight because Triple H made him. Vince says the ring is sacred, but he clearly didn’t think his marriage is, or that one shouldn’t pass women around like they’re candy.

I won’t even talk about NXT.

Order some pizzas and enjoy it. It only comes around once a year.

Don’t mess with the X.

While speaking to Vulture’s Good One podcast, WWE star Becky Lynch reflected on her match with Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38…

“We paid off the story in the most amazing way. And what was so incredible about Bianca—I could write a book about how amazing she is—but when I took that title from her, I know how upset she was because she thought, ‘Oh, they don’t believe in me anymore. They think I’m doing a bad job, and I get squashed in this way.’

But she was so gracious. She was like, ‘I’m so happy.’ She could have been like, ‘This bitch is coming in, taking my spot. She’s been gone, I’ve been here putting in the hard work, and now I just have to roll over for her.’

And I always wanted to pay it back to her in the biggest way possible. The fact that we were able to get there—we had to fight for it, because at one point they wanted to put somebody else into the match, make it a triple threat. But I was like, ‘That’s not the story.’ That was going to be the hill I died on—I was ready to really fight.

Thankfully, they changed it, because it needed to go back to Bianca. If it had gone to a triple threat, they would have kept it on me. But the story needed Bianca to win and take that victory.

While speaking to Vulture’s Good One podcast, WWE’s Becky Lynch commented on meeting AEW star MJF during the filming of Happy Gilmore 2…

“I think he’s so great—I love him. And honestly, I’ll be honest, I thought he’d be an asshole like his character. He’s so good at his character that I was like, ‘Oh, I’m going to hate this guy.’ And he’s just the sweetest. He’s so nice, and he was so great. It was such a great conversation—we bonded instantly.

“I totally bought the act, and now I’m killing the act—so, sorry. But no, I think he’s great. He’s wonderful, and he was so great in the movie. He’s fantastic—just a fantastic speaker and actor. And he’s also still so young, so I’m very excited to see where his career goes.”

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Becky Lynch explained the decision to have her WWE entrance music changed. Here were the highlights courtesy of ChrisVanVliet.com…

Van Vliet: “I have to say I’m a huge pop punk fan, so The Wonder Years doing your theme song, amazing.”

Becky: “I love it. When Dan, he first started off by telling me the lyrics. There was a few tears as well.”

Van Vliet: “What lyrics hit you?”

Becky: “Well, the lyric about my dad, which is, ‘I talk to your ghost every night in my sleep.’ It’s a reference to my dad and, you know, he has little easter eggs about ‘they’ll rue the day’ and ‘burn it down’ and watch something better grow, like it’s all little references to my family. Yeah, so got me good. Then I heard it all together, and I was like, Oh, damn.”

Van Vliet: “How did that come together? Because not a lot of WWE Superstars get an outside band to be able to do their theme song.”

Becky: “It was a bit of a struggle. I was thinking of coming back, and I was like, you know, I just don’t feel like my entrance music represents me anymore, probably didn’t represent me for about seven years, didn’t feel it. It always felt too happy-go-lucky, so I reached out to Dan Campbell from The Wonder Years, and I was like, ‘If I can get it through, is there any chance you guys would be interested in writing me a new theme song?’ Instantly, he wrote back, yes, hell yes, and he got to work, and I was like, okay, but let me just clear it through Hunter. They have ways of doing things where they want their guys to write the song and then the other band does the cover. Dan was already too far gone, and I was already too in love with his song that it ended up being a whole thing. But we got it done. There was a lot of phone calls and a few fights. So we got it done.”

Van Vliet: “You were already friends with The Wonder Years. How did that come about?”

Becky: “From Colby, aka Seth Rollins, my hot husband. I wasn’t really in on the pop punk scene at all. I’m mostly a 90s grunge kid and 70s rock and The Beatles and Dylan, you know, that’s kind of what I tend to listen to. He would play his music, and most of the time I was like, Oh, God, these lads with their whiny, nasally voices. Then he puts on The Wonder Years, and The Ocean Grew Hands to Hold Me came on. I was like, Oh, damn that, that guy’s voice, oh, this band. Then he played me more and I was like, oh, I love this guy. Then we were supposed to get married in 2020, the pandemic happened and all that. For the day that we were supposed to get married, Colby surprised me with having Dan make a cover of a song Fala Amo by Bring Me the Horizon, which is a song that Colby played me when we were first getting together, then Dan did the cover, and it was all lights out, and that became our wedding song. You may have seen on Unreal, we put the phone in a bowl, and that was the one song that we had at our wedding.”
