Adam Pearce says he does not watch any wrestling outside of WWE

Aaron Rift — Tue, 25 Aug 2026 11:18:27 +0000

While speaking to Love Wrestling, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce was asked whether he still followed the NWA product. Pearce was also asked if there was anyone currently in the NWA that had caught his eye and who he would potentially like to see make the jump to RAW one day.

Here was Pearce’s response…

“I do not. This will piss wrestling fans off, but I will tell you the truth. If my fingerprints are not on the product, I do not watch the product.

People do not believe me when I say that, but I have not watched a second of wrestling outside of RAW or SmackDown or Saturday Night’s Main Event or a pay-per-view or PLE that I’m working on because I am passionate and devoted to my company.

I am a company man, corporate through and through. I know who signs my check and I do as they say and collect my pay.”

Adam Pearce says he has “less than zero interest” in wrestling again despite Nick Aldis coming out of retirement

Aaron Rift — Mon, 24 Aug 2026 17:52:58 +0000

Following WWE SummerSlam 2026, where SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis came out of retirement for a match, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce was asked by Love Wrestling if seeing Aldis return to the ring had brought back any desire to perform. Pearce was reminded that he has repeatedly said he is done wrestling but was asked if “the itch” was starting to come back.

Here was Pearce’s response…

“Less than zero interest in putting on my size 13 stagecoach boots. I am 48 years old and have no desire to put spandex on. You at home do not need to see 48-year-old bald Caucasian Adam Pearce wearing tights in 2026 or beyond. This is something that will detach retinas. So we’re going to say no but we will not ever say never.”

It seems that @ScrapDaddyAP is going to leave the boots and spandex to @RealNickAldis for the time being.@Pluggo_ sits down with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce! Drops at 5PM EST, link below! pic.twitter.com/OxJMAFqVrz

Adam Pearce addresses accusations that he was the mystery attacker on WWE RAW

Aaron Rift — Wed, 11 Feb 2026 18:59:43 +0000

As seen during the February 9th 2026 edition of WWE RAW, Austin Theory was attacked by a mystery person that delivered a curb stomp to him. In a post via Twitter/X, RAW general manager Adam Pearce addressed accusations that he was the culprit…

“Hi. I’m Adam… and despite me generally managing to do multiple jobs at the same time, I have NOT yet mastered the art of being in two places at the same time.

Which means I can’t argue with [Paul] Heyman in the aisle while wearing glasses AND stomp someone else in the ring while wearing a mask at the same time. Not possible. Yet.

That said, if you should have any leads on who might be the one wearing the mask, kindly email them to:

Rumor killer regarding Adam Pearce following his WWE RAW storyline with Bron Breakker

Aaron Rift — Fri, 23 Jan 2026 15:35:04 +0000

As seen during the January 12th 2026 edition of WWE RAW, Bron Breakker interfered in a match and caused a disqualification. General manager Adam Pearce came to the ring to address the situation, which led to a confrontation between the two. Breakker shoved Pearce, prompting WWE officials to intervene. In response to Breakker putting his hands on an authority figure, Pearce announced that Breakker was “suspended indefinitely” as part of the storyline.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about Pearce…

“There has been speculation coming off the Pearce segments regarding him wrestling. Pearce was a good independent wrestler but stopped wrestling a long time ago and there are no plans right now for him to wrestle.”

In 2024, Pearce told Chris Van Vliet that he “100%” can wrestle but doesn’t have interest in doing so…

“I think neither one of us, neither Nick [Aldis] nor I, are ever going to angle for a position in the spotlight like that. I think we’re both content, very happy and very honored to have the positions we have currently in WWE.”

Adam Pearce says the theories about Solo Sikoa’s mystery opponent on WWE RAW have all been wrong so far

Aaron Rift — Sun, 16 Nov 2025 18:49:57 +0000

In a video published to WWE’s social media accounts, WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce stated the following…

“Monday Night RAW comes to you live tomorrow night from the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. It does not get any bigger as this will mark the final appearance on Monday Night Raw for the never seen 17 greatest of all time and brand new Intercontinental champion, John Cena. John will kick off the broadcast tomorrow night.

The man, Becky Lynch, will put her women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line against Maxxine Dupri. Can the third time be the charm in the garden with gold on the line for Mad Max? Tune in to the flagship and see for yourself.

Everybody’s asking the same question, Why Nikki Bella? Why? What, pray tell, would the Hall of Famer possibly have to say for herself after her blindside attack of the women’s World champion, Stephanie Vaquer. Tune in to hear the excuses for yourself. It’s Monday Night Raw on the road to survivor series 8 Eastern, 5 Pacific, and live around the world tomorrow night on Netflix.

Do not forget, The Last Time Is Now tournament continues. The young O. G. Of NXT, Je’Von Evans, goes one-on-one with The Ring General Gunther. Solo Sokoa, not very happy with me, will oppose a very special surprise. And I got to say it, you, the WWE universe, have a ton of theories. Could they all be wrong? So far, they are. And that is surprisingly official.”

Adam Pearce responds to people posting negative comments about Hulk Hogan on his Facebook page

Aaron Rift — Fri, 25 Jul 2025 02:02:21 +0000

It was reported by TMZ.com on Thursday that WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan (Terry Bollea) passed away at the age of 71. WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce wrote about Hogan via his Facebook page…

“I grew up in Chicagoland watching the AWA pre-cable via tin-foiled rabbit ears. The Incredible Hulk Hogan vs. the World Champion Nick Bockwinkel with Bobby Heenan. Original Hulk-a-Mania. Magic. I loved it.

Fast forward a million years.

April 4, 2013. Jonesboro, Arkansas.

I’m working the first of two dates for TNA. Trying to get hired on as an agent (thank you again, Bruce Prichard). Wrestled a match against a talent I really liked and that they wanted to hopefully feature. It didn’t go well. I took the blame because I was senior.

I sit down to watch the rest of the matches, and Hulk sits next to me. Eric Bischoff next to him. Hulk asked me what I thought. I answered honestly.

He told me what he thought. I’ll always appreciate his words.

Over time people do many things, become loved and hated, rinse-and-repeat for those things, and if we’re all being honest, the emotions are warranted.

It is impossible to overstate the impact that Hulk Hogan had on our industry and the countless people that got into it because of him. In a roundabout way, I’m one of them. Heenan was my idol, but when he was opposite Hogan it was the magic I fell in love with.

Godspeed, Hulk Hogan. Thank you for all of the good. Thank you for your candor in a moment where I doubted myself. All love to his family, friends, and those lives he touched along the way. Rest well, sir. ”

Pearce then responded to people posting negative comments about Hogan on his page…

“If you’ve come here to post negativity about Hulk Hogan on the day of his passing, you’ve missed the point of my page.

If your opinions are hate-filled or fueled by vitriol, and you’re wholly entitled to have whatever opinion you want, save it for YOUR platforms.

We all feel how we feel, we’re human. And we all see things the way we choose, it’s our personal choice. I’m not telling anyone how or what to feel. Location I have some say in.

I don’t care if you hated him or loved him, both emotions were earned. That said, this is NOT the location for the placement of negativity. Respect it.

Thanks,
-AP”

How Adam Pearce feels about potentially coming out of retirement for a match in WWE

Aaron Rift — Thu, 08 Aug 2024 15:21:02 +0000

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, WWE RAW general manager Adam Pearce commented on potentially coming out of retirement for a match against Smackdown GM Nick Aldis…

“Yeah, there’s something there. There’s a lot of air and opportunity between Mr. Aldis and I but here’s the thing, you have to want that and I don’t think he wants that. No, that’d be fun. I think neither one of us, neither Nick nor I, are ever going to angle for a position in the spotlight like that. I think we’re both content, very happy and very honored to have the positions we have currently in WWE. There’s only one general manager for the show, so it’s highly important. It has been the pinnacle of my professional career, performing career. And I hope that continues into the future. But as I’ve said 100 times, privately, publicly, I ain’t afraid to get my hands dirty either. So if the situation calls for it, I’m sure Nick would be down for it and I think there’s a whole litany of NWA fans who have played that what if game? Because I think our names are always connected when people talk about that, especially in the ‘modern era.’ I think it’d be fun for a lot of different groups of wrestling fans.”

Pearce also said the following in regards to if he can still wrestle…

“100%. Right now. How much do you pay me? I don’t want to either. I appreciate that though. I’ve been done for 10 years. December 21 of this year will be 10 years to the day I had my last pro match. Well, now I have to back up. If you rewind, five years or so I guess you could say that I hold the singles victory over Shinsuke Nakamura, which was in the main event of a SmackDown. And the last tag match I had if I’m thinking about that was as partners with Braun Strowman for the World Tag Team title against Hurt Business, where I got beat.” (quotes courtesy of ChrisVanVliet.com)

Adam Pearce addresses criticism of him wearing attire on WWE RAW that was inspired by Jim Cornette

Aaron Rift — Tue, 30 Apr 2024 18:47:22 +0000

As seen during the April 29th 2024 edition of WWE RAW, general manager Adam Pearce wore a suit that was inspired by veteran wrestling personality Jim Cornette. Pat McAfee commented on the attire by saying that Pearce should get a tennis racket which was the prop that Cornette used during his time as a manager.

Pearce received criticism for wearing the attire. One Twitter/X user, @MattKoonMusic, wrote that “it’s a bizarre business when you circle the wagons around a racist, homophobe, and misogynist.”

Pearce addressed criticism that he received…

“One person decided to buy a horrible red jacket to wear for fun and quote Sweet Stan in a tweet referring to it. Another person decided that it must mean solidarity with bigotry, among other terrible things. Why do I block people online? Same reason I flush the pot. Touch grass.”
