Wrestle Review: Survivor Prep

Some people online are upset(might be the most overused phrase of the decade) about WWWE not involving NXT in Survivor Series this year. Survivor Series this year is November 22. NXT's next Takeover is December 6. Maybe Vince thought the events were too close together. Not likely, as Adam Cole competed in War Games one night and Survivor Series the next. Is Vince souring on NXT? That is the online chatter and, to be honest, this development strengthens that claim.

NXT's version of Halloween Havoc this past week was fine. I guess I'm just nostalgic for the classic Havoc events. There's always WWE Network for that.

Kevin Owens and Jey Uso qualified for the men's Survivor Series match. I'm glad both will be featured in the main event. I think, to really cement Jey as a singles star, he needs to be the sole survivor. Keith Lee, Sheamus and AJ Styles are on the Raw team so far. The women's tag champs and the blonde brigade are the Raw women's team. As I tweeted Monday, it probably doesn't matter who fields the Smackdown team. They'll likely sweep.

Anybody else notice that they cut to the Rollins-Mysterio storyline recap in the middle of introductions for the women's triple threat last night? It probably didn't bother many. I just found it interesting they'd do that. Of course, we're talking about a company that once interrupted a match for a backstage interview.

Extremely happy that Rich Swann won the Impact World Championship last Saturday night at Bound For Glory. I was honestly shocked that they did that. I love that a wrestling company surprises me again. And the "Who shot John E Bravo" angle? Well, Rikishi did it for The Rock, right? Lol! I'm interested to see if this is meant to elevate someone

We know that Adam Page and Kenny Omega will meet at Full Gear to determine the next #1 contender for Jon Moxley's AEW Championship. Oh, I've tipped my hand on my pick for Mox and Kingston's "I Quit" match, haven't I? Oh well. The rest of the card looks good as well. I'll go over it the weekend of the show.

How will Survivor Series and Full Gear continue to shake up? We'll see what unfolds this week as the wrestling world turns.
