Kyle O'Reilly issues statement regarding WWE NXT incident

As previously noted, a fan in attendance at this week's WWE NXT taping stated that Kyle O'Reilly was checked on by medical staff as the show went off the air and was taken out of the building on a stretcher. Ryan Satin of later reported that the incident was believed to be part of a storyline.

On Wednesday afternoon, O'Reilly publicly addressed the matter via Twitter:

"Thanks everyone for checking in, your love and support truly means the World. I was placed on a stretcher last night out of concern for my neck after receiving a brainbuster on the steps. Thankfully I can move around somewhat OK today but I may need some time to heal. As much as that hurt and sucked last night, the betrayal was worse. Coming back from this stronger and with a thirst for revenge. Best served cold."
