Latest regarding the contracts of several WWE stars Submitted by Aaron T-Bar Rift on 01/13/2021 at 02:44 PM
- It was recently reported that there were several WWE stars from all three brands that turned down new contract offers last year that were said to be "disappointing" in comparison to previous offers. Fightful.com is now reporting that members of the WWE faction Retribution (excluding Ali) were offered contracts worth $250,000 during the fall. The site noted that "this is significantly lower than a lot of the incoming deal offers made in the last two years with more competition on the scene, but obviously the state of the world has changed things in that regard." The belief is that WWE stars will be able to re-negotiate contracts once the pandemic is over but it's unknown if the Retribution members were given that courtesy and if they actually signed the contracts.
- According to Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com, it's believed that Ricochet hasn't signed a new WWE contract yet. There are reports that Ricochet's three-year contract from 2018 is expiring soon.
There are also conflicting reports about Matt Riddle's WWE contract. While it was recently reported that Riddle signed a new contract, Alvarez noted the following:
“Remember when they offered him [Riddle] a new deal? I don’t think he’s signed yet. Just want to throw that out there.” (quote courtesy of WrestleTalk.com)
