News on McIntyre's WWE Title win; NXT star injured Submitted by Aaron T-Bar Rift on 11/20/2020 at 11:23 AM
- The belief is that the decision to have Drew McIntyre regain the WWE Title on Monday Night RAW was a last-minute decision by the company and was largely kept a secret prior to the match. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that "all the key players involved prior to McIntyre beating [Randy Orton] on RAW were of the impression it was Reigns vs. Orton for the show." Meltzer added that Orton was possibly tipped off about the title change before others and would have known something by last week's Smackdown when WWE started teasing Reigns vs. McIntyre.
- According to a report on Fightful.com, it's believed that WWE NXT star Arturo Ruas suffered a legitimate arm injury during his match against Kushida on this week's NXT episode. WWE officially stated that Ruas suffered a right bicep injury but there was initial skepticism because WWE tends to include kayfabe (worked) injuries in the company's weekly injury reports.
Ruas had just returned to the NXT brand after being briefly featured on RAW Underground.
