News regarding the Elite Deletion match at Full Gear

According to a report on Fightful.com, the Elite Deletion match between Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara was filmed about a week before the AEW Full Gear PPV. Ideas were apparently pitched from wrestlers involved in the match and the final product was said to have gotten positive feedback within the company.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that fans at Daily's Place were "feeling tired" during the showing of the match. It's believed that the match was strategically placed after the AEW tag team titles match as a way to give the fans comic relief and variety.
