JR calls out fans that tag Tony Khan with criticism Submitted by Aaron T-Bar Rift on 10/11/2020 at 10:52 AM
During his recent Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross commented on fans that criticize his commentary work in AEW and tag Tony Khan while doing so:
"The guy has a right to his opinion first of all. Iím not pissed at him; heís meaningless to me. But the issue is, he had to tag in Tony. Tony Khan reads his tweets, especially on those taped show nights. Heís all over the damn thing. [The person tweeting] knows Tony is going to read it in hopes of making me look bad. Thereís where I get an issue. To your ears, I did suck. If I did, Iíll do better. Youíre going to single out Tony to make sure Tony hears that a fan had a negative reaction to my work? I thought that was pure chicken sĖt. Itís just amazing to me the society we live in."
"The day that I embarrass myself, that I canít keep up or articulate what weíre seeing, when I canít process the stories talents are telling, [Iíll quit]. To talk about somebodyís effort, or that they donít have any passion, how the hell can you say that? Are you just that God dĖn stupid that you believe that somebody thatís been in the business since the 70s has completely lost his passion? Does he fĖking not realize this is my God dĖn life? For somebody to tell me on Twitter that Iíve lost my passion is total horse shĖ. It kind of hurts your feelings. It just pisses you off. If you want to express yourself as a fan, have at it. But when youíre getting personal, donít go there. I think these people would say things on Twitter that they never ever would say to your face." (quotes courtesy of WrestlingInc.com)
