As previously noted, Lars Sullivan made his return to WWE television on this week's edition of Friday Night Smackdown after being out of action with a knee injury since June of 2019.

According to a report on, it was initially believed that Sullivan would return in June of 2020. However, Sullivan's recovery was said to be an "uphill battle" and he reportedly needed to have work done on both of his knees.

The company has been high on Sullivan for years and Fightful noted that there was even talk of a match against Brock Lesnar when Sullivan was first called up to the main roster.

There were some fans that were surprised to see Sullivan brought back since he trended on Twitter in December after an adult video featuring a person that is allegedly him went viral. For a brief period on Friday night, Triple H liked a tweet that contained a screenshot from the video.
