Report on WWE's post-Thunderdome plans Submitted by Aaron Rift on 09/15/2020 at 11:52 AM
Twitter account @WrestleVotes noted the following regarding WWE's plans for TV shows after the Thunderdome contract expires:
Over the past week or so, WWE assembled a small team to figure out if running TV from outdoors venues would be fesisble once the ThunderDome contract expires. Idea is both SD & RAW would be in same location each week. Southern states with good weather is the preference. All TBD.
WWE's contract with Amway Center expires at the end of October. WWE moved the Hell in a Cell PPV from November 1st to October 25th to ensure that the event would take place at the Thunderdome.
With NFL fans being allowed to attend certain games with health guidelines, there is speculation that WWE will soon follow suit.
Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports 360 commented on what WWE could possibly do:
Hurricane season wraps up in Florida around this time, which makes that rather ideal for running outdoors. Finding spacious venues with vigilant protocols for fan safety will be key. Most Florida sports teams have run safely with limited fans so far. #WWE
