Smackdown taping issues update; McAfee accepts match
Submitted by Aaron Rift on 08/06/2020 at 05:33 PM

- As previously noted, WWE taped one episode of Smackdown and 205 Live on Tuesday when two had originally been scheduled. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com discussed the situation:

“Things happened, I don’t know if it was test-related or what,” Meltzer said. “There were key people on SmackDown that were scripted into the show and the show ended up having the script torn apart and redone anyways as Raw was. On late Monday night, they made the call to only tape one SmackDown show instead of two on Tuesday. It was a complete mess on Tuesday and so that show is on Friday. Now they have to come back on the 13th.” (quote courtesy of WrestlingNews.co)

WWE is currently planning to tape the August 14th Smackdown and the August 17th RAW on the 13th.

- Pat McAfee has officially accepted the match against Adam Cole for NXT Takeover 30:
