Excalibur pulled from Dynamite due to a racist promo?

AEW commentator Excalibur did not appear on this week's edition of Dynamite even though he had reportedly traveled to Jacksonville, FL for the show. According to Dave Meltzer of, nobody in the company has given official word on why he missed the show.

The speculation is that Excalibur was pulled from the show due to a Pro Wrestling Guerrilla video that resurfaced on social media from around 2005. In the video, Excalibur referred to the Human Tornado as a "f***ing n_____" while cutting a heel promo. Meltzer mentioned that Tornado himself pushed for wrestlers to use racial slurs against him in promos as a way to get heat. Kevin Owens (Kevin Steen), who was standing next to Excalibur during the promo, was said to be "very reluctant" about the promo but Tornando was reportedly able to convince Owens to be part of it. Meltzer added that they all realized after doing the promo that "they f***ed up big time" and were apologetic.

A Twitter account that is believed to be that of the Human Tornado showed support for Excalibur:
