Lead WWE writer reportedly let go from the company
Submitted by Aaron Rift on 05/30/2020 at 08:21 AM

F4WOnline.com is reporting that lead Smackdown writer Christopher DeJoseph was let go from the company. DeJoseph, who had worked for WWE as part of the creative team in the past and appeared on-camera as Big Dick Johnson, returned to the company in December.

PWInsider.com provided some more details and reported that DeJoseph's departure was not due to the Covid-19 budget cuts. Mike Johnson noted the following:

"The departure was sudden as DeJoseph was at WWE's TV tapings earlier this week and we are told that he had just received a promotion within the last week or so."

During his time away from WWE, DeJoseph worked as the Co-Executive Producer for Lucha Underground.
