- Mike Johnson of noted the following regarding the releases that WWE announced from this past weekend:

“We did hear like two or three weeks ago that there could be some cuts coming in January, and apparently these just got, you know — and our initial reaction when we heard that [about the releases] was ooh that might not be a good sign for the fourth quarter numbers if they’re cutting back and then the cuts came earlier than expected.”

Thanks to for the quotes.

- The Cauliflower Alley Club announced that former WWE star and agent Rene Goulet passed away earlier this year:

"Sad news to pass along. We learned that Rene Goulet passed away back on May 25th of this year, but it wasn’t made public until this morning. Rene was a long tenured wrestler with the WWF/E, tag champ and road agent. The CAC offers our deepest sympathies to his family and friends."
