One outcome being pitched for the match would see Reigns defeating Owens at the event so that he can use the Universal and United States title to proclaim himself as a “double champion” like Conor McGregor was for a short-time before UFC took his featherweight strap. It remains unknown if that is what the company is going with, however it wouldn’t be a surprise as the company has always had plans for Reigns to be the top babyface of the company.
