The idea is to have a challenger defeat her to gain credibility with a win over Charlotte after she goes on a long streak of pay-per-view wins, possibly at WrestleMania. The company feels that building up Charlotte with wins, and having her later defeated would not just elevate her position on the roster, but also help push another female Superstar in the company with a win over her at a pay-per-view event. This is the reason why Charlotte dropped the WWE RAW Women’s Championship to Sasha Banks on RAW events instead of pay-per-views.
