According to PWInsider.com, Michael Cole is getting backstage heat in WWE due to the belief that he isn't taking his job seriously anymore. The company is apparently not happy with some of the "stupid" comments he has made on TV recently and they also feel that he is no longer putting the company first.

There could end up being a shuffling of announcers. According to F4WOnline.com, the situation with Matt Striker doing commentary with Cole on RAW could be WWE testing the waters to see how the different announce team combinations sound.
