NoDQ.com > WWE > Backstage news on Kung Fu Naki gimmick
Posted by Randy Gordon on 11/20/2008 at 01:53 PM

The idea of Sho Funaki's new "Kung Fu Naki" actually came from Funaki himself, who has been pitching the character to creative for several years now. ProWrestling.net reports that Funaki has been showing up to WWE television for years with the same piece of paper that had his ideas of the gimmick. Vince McMahon shot down the idea countless times but for whatever reason, it finally got the green light.
