The Great Khali continued to embellish his WWE greatness while making the media rounds in India. "My most memorable fight is the tie for the World Hvt. Champion's crown in 2007, where I fought 20 giants for the top slot," he told reporters. He also stated that children shouldn't emulate him. "Tell your children at home not to try to wrestle like the way I do on screen," he said. "They should not emulate me because it might harm them. Wrestling is a tough sport."

Khali has been promoted from assistant sub inspector to sub inspector by the Punjab police force. "He has brought the force international fame and has made us all very proud with his many achievements as a wrestler," Ranjan Gupta stated in an AP story. "It was the Punjab Polce that first nurtured and promoted The Great Khali as a bodybuilder and a wrestler." The story notes that it is not known whether Khali will receive a raise from the 15,000 rupees ($375) he is paid each month.
