Dave Meltzer is reporting that UFC heavyweight champion Couture is in negotiations with the UFC for a possible three fight deal. The two sides are currently involved in an ongoing legal battle, but in recent weeks, Couture have been more open to idea of returning to the UFC.
If the sides reach an agreement, there is talks of Couture fighting Brock Lesnar on 11/15 in Portland, Oregon.
Couture's side is believed to want the heavyweight champion returning to fight Fedor Emelianenko, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and/or Chuck Liddell. Couture turned 45 years old back in June.
