According to Dave Meltzer, Christian Cage's contract with TNA Wrestling is set to expire before the year is over. Jason Powell is reporting that several WWE sources say that the door is open for Cage to return. With the current storylines on Smackdown, there is certainly a creative spot open for him to either reunite or feud with Edge. While he was burned out from his WWE schedule, he's said to be at an age (35) where he might want to try and get as much money as he can before his career winds down.

From the TNA side, Cage is said to be happy with his current pay and schedule. However, he has had some issues with TNA's creative team in the past. Scott D’Amore, one of those creative team members who is good friends with Cage, just left the company recently. It's also hard to take Cage's word because when he left WWE in 2005, he told them that he wouldn't be going to TNA even though he had already made the deal.

While many feel he will probably stay with TNA, even Cage said himself "never say never" about a WWE return in his final interview after Taboo Tuesday.
