CZW returned last night to the ECW Arena for "Any Questions". There were some after the night ended.

  • Andy Sumner defeated Drew Gulak and Ravage in a Triple Threat Match, making Ravage submit to a Guillotine Choke.

  • Chris Hero defeated 3 ROH students (Pelle Primeau, Matt Turner, and one other worker) in an Elimination Handicap Match. He pinned Turner following a Muscle Buster and submission hold, clearly tweaking Samoa Joe.

  • Best Of The Best Qualifier: Jigsaw defeated El Generico and Hallowicked, pinning Hallowicked following a Leaping Top Rope Reverse Hurricanrana and the Jig N' Tonic.

  • B-Boy and Adam Flash defeated Messiah and Altar Boy Luke. Post-match, Canada's LuFisto attacks Pandora, only to be beat down by B-Boy and Adam Flash. For those who don't know LuFisto, she can take a beating equal to any North American woman including IWA Mid-South's Mickie Knuckles, and had to go to court in Ontario against Onario's Atheltic Commission to be allowed to work matches against men.

  • Then followed a Tables Match with the monthly installment of Danny Havoc, masochist. DJ Hyde cooperatively again plays the role of the sadist who happily helps Havoc achieve his dream (wouldn't a real sadist actually tell Havoc "no, I won't beat you"?).

Fall one: DJ Hyde defeated Danny Havoc after throwing him through a table in the ring. Post-match, Havoc asked for the match to be restarted, ala Colt Cabana-Homicide in a recent Ring of Honor show. This fall was followed by Havoc saying he'd beat Hyde, or die trying.

Fall two: DJ Hyde defeated Danny Havoc again, throwing through a table on the floor. After they checked Danny Havoc for a pulse, Havoc again asked for it to be restarted, saying he 'd said he'd beat DJ Hyde or die trying.

Fall three: Danny Havoc defeated DJ Hyde after putting HIM through a table. Post-match, Hyde flipped out, carried Havoc to the balcony, and threw Havoc off the balcony (the old ECW TV camera and commentary side) through a table on the floor of the ECW Arena.

  • In strange scheduling, what many saw as the main event was next after intermission ended. In an excellent match, which was clearly the match of the night, CZW team of Super Dragon and Necro Butcher defeated "ROH's team" of Kevin Steen and BJ Whitmer after Super Dragon pinned Steen following a Pyscho Driver on the CZW Ironman Title.

  • CZW Junior Heavyweight Title #1 Contender's Match: Derek Frazier defeated Ravage and Cloudy to become the #1 Contender for the CZW Junior Heavyweight Champion after pinning Cloudy with the Pure Impact. Niles Young came parading around the ring with his expensive looking suit during the match, and his new valet.

  • BLKOUT (Ruckus, Eddie Kingston, Joker and Sabian) defeated H8 Club (Nick Gage and Justice Pain) and the team of Christopher Bishop and Lionel Knight from Toronto's UWA after Knight and Bishop turned on Gage and Pain with the storyline that Lobo, Zandig, and the H8Club "hate Canadians". Bishop and Knight were handpicked by Larry Sweeney to team with Gage and Pain. Post-match, Zandig, Lobo, and H8 Club attacked the UWA boys leading to a standoff between BLK OUT and The H8 Club, including a great looking DVD by Lobo on Lionel Knight. Necrobutcher came out to join in the fun to make the save, as the show ended with a traditional CZW show-ending violence-filled clusterf@#$.

CZW returns to the ECW Arena for Best Of the Best 6 on Saturday, May 13 during the afternoon with a CZW vs. ROH theme. The first two entered in Best Of the Best 6 are Jigsaw (from the match tonight) and Ring of Honor's Christopher Daniels.

Comments: While it didn't get the negative reaction it could have, there were a number of vocal fans who were upset about what they rightly viewed as borderline false advertising of "The Blackout's (Ruckus, Sabian, Joker and Eddie Kingston) Open Challenge To ROH - Who Will Answer?" on the CZW website (a message which is still there now), which was dismissed by Zandig in a promo as ROH "no-showing". Try more like the workers being booked around the country, everywhere from Samoa Joe booked on Hermie Sadler's UWF/TNA Virginia show, or Austin Aries on a small indy show in Wisconsin. Problem is, with the Internet, CZW fans knew about these bookings ahead of time, and many weren't happy about what they perceived as grandstanding.

It also didn't help those fans that Best of the Best 6 was scheduled against Ring of Honor's May 13 Edison show, which is going to present some interesting scheduling issues for the four Ring of Honor participants announced by Zandig earlier in the show as taking part; let alone fans who want to attend both shows. It would help greatly if CZW moved the show up from the scheduled 2:00 pm start time (12 noon or 1:00 pm), and/or ROH moved their show start time later. Otherwise, fans are going to have to choose between shows as it'll be difficult to make both shows.
