Jersey All Pro Wrestling returned to the ECW Arena last night before a packed house.

World Wide Television Tapings:

These matches were taped for the JAPW online show, called JAPW World Wide:

  • Corvis Fear defeats Bandido Jr. with a Swinging Neck Breaker

  • In a match from New York's New York Wrestling Connection, The Dead Presidents defeated Dan Barry and Plazma with a Doomsday Device

  • Mercedes Martinez defeated Talia (with April Hunter) with a brainbuster
MercedesMartinez showed why I wish women's wrestling was more than a T&A show in the United States (with the notable exception of SHIMMER). She broke out a great Fisherman Buster and other moves, and is more than worthy of a match anywhere. Post-match, Rhino (along with Johnny D.) comes out and gores Talia and Martinez. He nailed the hell out of Martinez.

Tammy Sytch was a last minute addition as "special guest referee". To put it politely, she should have stayed home, as she acted noticably impaired. Considering that it's approaching the anniversary of Chris Candido's passing, that may be understandable, but she needs to deal with her problems before getting in or near a wrestling ring again. She attempted to talk on the mike after the match, but her mike was cut and a referee had to tell her to come out of the ring.

    Main show results

  • In a four way match to determine the number one contender to Teddy Hart's JAPW Light Heavyweight Championship, Grim Reefer (with Julius Smokes) won over Archadia, Azrieal, and M Dogg20, after Grim Reefer reversed a 450 Splash by M Dogg20 for the pinfall. Reefer was over like crazy.

  • The SAT and Xavier (replacing the scheduled Amazing Red) defeated EC Negro and the Outcast Killahz. It seems absolutely insane that Joel Maximo worked this match, as he is recovering from being stabbed after a mugging attempt in his native New York (which he sold throughout the match).

  • In the "Battle for Respect II Philly Street Fight", Monsta Mac defeated Trent Acid after a lariat in a match that was surpisingly good to some in the crowd. Fans should have remembered the CZW match with Teddy Hart.

  • In his usual "Danny Demanto gets beat up by someone" challenge (he's played designated delusional whipping boy to Sandman and New Jack in recent months), Demanto comes out and issued another "open challenge" and was plowed by Monty Brown after less than a minute.

Monty Brown cut a heel promo which was difficult to hear, but issued his own "open challenge" which was answered by Balls Mahoney.

  • Monty Brown defeats Balls Mahoney by pinfall after a Pounce in a fairly good match. Mahoney got a great pop.

  • Sonjay Dutt and Sabu defeated The Briscoes in a very good match after Sonjay Dutt hits a 450 Splash on Mark for the pinfall.

Post-match, Homicide challenged Sabu and Dutt to a tag team match between them and his partner Low Ki for the JAPW return to Rahway, NJ on March 25.

  • Charlie Haas defeated Homicide next by submission. Haas went heel on the crowd, bragging about going back to the WWE in 2 weeks. Fans responded with chants of "porno mustache" (you had to see it to uderstand), "Velocity", "Jobber" and various comments about the moves and spots Vince McMahon won't be letting him do in WWE. 187 hit a cannonball on Haas, followed by fun and games with chairs. The finish saw Haas crossface Homicide, followed by a ref bump. Then, playing off the last match, Sabu runs in on Homicide and hits a chair leg drop. Haas gets the on submission on Homicide.

  • Main Event/Jersey All Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title
Rhino retains over Jay Lethal and Teddy Hart (JAPW Light Heavyweight Champion)

Hart and Lethal go back and forth with no one gaining an advantage. Hart moonsalts Rhino and Lethal on the outside and the crowd is goin nuts. Hart and Lethal double team Rhino. Rhino gains the advantage on Lethal. Rhino gores Hart. Lethal breaks up the pin. Rhino gores Lethal through a table and eliminates Lethal. The finish saw Rhino goer Hart, set up a table, then hit the old second rope piledriver he used to do through a table, then pinned Hart for the win.

Jersey All Pro Wrestling returns to Rahway, NJ on March 25.
