Kenta made his presence felt shockingly so when he attacked Jon Moxley this past Wednesday at I'm not as familiar with Kenta as most wrestling fans on Twitter. I guess I'll soon get familiar, as it was announced Thursday that New Japan had finally inked a tv deal and would have its new home on the ROKU via a weekly show Thursday's at 5 pm and on demand afterwards.
I'm thinking AEW signs Kenta vs Jon Moxley for Revolution next month. Definitely on the card at Revolution is Chris Jericho and MJF vs The Young Bucks for the AEW tag team championships. This is because Chris and MJF won the tag battle royal. FTR kidnapped Marko Stunt Wednesday so I assume we get FTR vs Jurassic Express at the show as well. Penelope Ford and Kip Sabian's wedding didn't disappoint as far as crazy wrestling weddings go.
Cody and Red Velvet vs Shaq and Jade Cargill will be on Dynamite March 3. Just to clear up for some people on Twitter, Shaq and Jade aren't really an item. MLB second baseman Brandon Phillips is who Jade is really shacked up(no pun intended) with. Cody vs Shaq will take place at Revolution. I saw the episode of Shaq vs on TNT where he tried, I believe it was UFC. I for one can't wait to see this train-wreck and how it turns out.
Edge and Bianca Belair won their respective Royal Rumble matches this year. While Bianca vs Sasha is basically set for WrestleMania, they're really playing up the "which title will Edge challenge for at Mania"? He confronted Drew Monday, Finn on NXT Wednesday and Roman on Smackdown. It has been announced Edge would be on tv between now an WrestleMania. I'd love to believe that and he just might be. I just remember when they said that Brock Lesnar would be on every Raw between Rumble and Mania and the next week, he wasn't there. It was never brought up. It's my conclusion WWE thinks we're stupid and will forget things. We're watching and we remember, Vince. I'll have to wait and see what unfolds until I can say who I think he choses. Edge said he never held the NXT title but same can be said for Universal. We shall see.
Hopping back to AEW to end the week, Team Taz will be the cause of Darby Allin eventually losing the TNT Championship but it won't be Wednesday against Joey Janella. It'll be a member of Team Taz. That title would be great to elevate Ricky Starks. Maybe have that match the Dynamite before Revolution. That way, Darby and Sting will have the revenge factor. I'm jumping ahead, however.
What will happen in the wrestling world this week? Will Darby lose the TNT title? I say no. Will Edge choose which champion he'll face at WrestleMania? Again, I say no. What about Bianca? Well she kinda already picked Sasha, didn't she? I think a wrench will be thrown in those plans. A Carme;;a-size wrench, perhaps. We shall see what unfolds as the wrestling world turns.
